Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving is a Halloween tradition that I love. We’ve been so busy this time around so only simple designs were carved but at least I still got to do it! Barney is a lot more skilled at this than I; he decided to go for Hannibal Lecter’s mask. I, on the other hand, went for a simple face which looks so cute when lit up with a tea light. I also did the oh so simple task of poking a screwdriver into the pumpkin to make holes which gives a good effect, and I finished with a cute heart.

This year I bought large pumpkins at £1 each from Asda which is a bargain! I also bought their pumpkin carving kit for £4 which includes two knives which are amazing and a big orange scooper! I used the leftover pumpkin to make pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup and a spiced pumpkin loaf (blog post here)

What designs did you carve on your pumpkins this year?
