I’d known about my cousin’s wedding for months and yet here I was the weekend before the wedding with no outfit. I had to brace the wind and rain and take a trip into town Saturday morning to find the full outfit. I was dreading it! This trip, however, was surprisingly successful, and I managed to get it all under £50! Let’s begin…
Floral Print Cold Shoulder Dress – £16, George at Asda
As soon as I saw this dress I wanted it. The autumnal colours and flowers make it great for this time of year, but I was a little unsure whether it was suitable for a wedding. I took it into the dressing room and instantly fell in love with it. The shape of this dress is so flattering, and the cold shoulder detail hits this season’s trend. The colours worked well with my skin tone and I thought it perfect for me, at £16 this dress is a bargain.
Olive Green Suede Heels – £12, Primark
This colour is gorgeous, especially for this time of year. The heels are a comfortable height and with them being wide fit, my foot has a little room to breathe making them extra comfy. The bonus parts to these heels are the real leather insoles which add to the comfort. The colour matches so well with the stems/leaves in the dress and couldn’t believe how great they looked together.
Green/Pink/Cream Clutch Bag – £12.99, Beth Jordan (TK Maxx)
Primark, unfortunately, didn’t have a matching clutch bag for the olive-green shoes. TK Maxx has just opened in near me and I remember seeing the array of bags they had on sale from the shop window. I love the way they colour coordinate all their bags in the store, so I popped over to the green section and found this gem. It’s from a designer called Beth Jordan (www.planetaidltd.com), the green/pink/cream snakeskin-effect matches all elements of my dress and heels and at £12.99, it’s the perfect accessory.
Cream Rose Corsage Hair Clip – £6, Claire’s Accessories
This cream rose clip can be used either as a hair accessory or as a stylish brooch. I was ideally looking for a fascinator but couldn’t find one to suit the subtleness of my outfit and then I came across this. The flower is so elegant and perfect in size for me to clip my fringe back. The cream colour compliments the outfit and my hair colour and just completes the look.
I’m finishing the outfit with a few curls and a natural make up look, bronze shades with my Urban Decay Naked Eye Palette 3.
All of this came to £46.99 and for a complete outfit, I’m over the moon. Let me know what you think of my outfit and if you’ve found any high street wedding must-haves yourself.
